The Retreat, or what is the same, the golden mile of good eating in Madrid . Here it is You! Pasta the place where a restaurant area and a chamber coexist where both the products that can be tasted on the menu and the ready meals to go.
It is a small and warm place, in which the light wood tones , with capacity for 40 diners inside and another 12 outside . In addition, at the entrance there are different shelves in which some of the products that are for sale are displayed.

What can we savor in this risto-shop? traditional recipes from different corners of Italy, 100% Italian products, fresh pasta made in the workshop itself, and the occasional nod to Spanish cuisine with fusions such as burrata with salmorejo and speck waves penne with oxtail . Yes ok, ilenia cappai , who runs the premises together with Orazio Corva , confesses to us: “the most requested dishes are the traditional Italian ones”.
Thus, between the hits of You! Pasta stand out burrata with cherry pomodorini, rucola and filo pastry (crusty bread) ; the vitello tonnato and bruschette with acciughe (with toasted bread and anchovies) ; the Melanzane alla parmigiana ; the Carbonara spaghetti ; the penne all'arrabiata ; the Tiramisu ; and an extensive list of pastas and risotto , such as the ravioli stuffed with smoked scamorza cheese and dried tomato with cherry tomato sauce, the ravioli stuffed with truffle and ricotta cheese with Parmesan Reggiano cream, the ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach with butter and sage, the ravioli stuffed with salmon and mascarpone with cream and tomato sauce, the risotto clams, mussels, prawns and squid or the risotto with truffle cream and parmesan reggiano.

While among the lesser known recipes of the transalpine gastronomy, we found the great sicilian caponata its language of suocera (a salad of fried aubergine, tomato, celery, green olives and capers served on a kind of crunchy plan) and the fregola ai frutti di mare (a typical Sardinian pasta with seafood) . As Ilenia told us, the idea is that the letter of ¡Tu! Pasta be alive and dynamic therefore, they will introduce more and more new proposals, emphasizing the less famous abroad.
In the wine section , the menu includes only Italian references, from the prestigious Brunello di Montalcino, Amarone della Valpolicella (made with raisins) or Barolo even the most affordable Chianti Coppaia, Nero d'Avola or Montepulciano d'Abruzzo , going through the Prosecco extra dry Treviso , the star drink of the Italian aperitif, along with the Spritz.

Most of the wines can be purchased at the local store, along with the cheeses, such as Parmesan aged for 30 months, burrata and buffalo mozzarella , both brought once a week, gorgonzola or sardinian pecorino with truffle; sausages , made by small producers in the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Lombardia and Trentino, such as mortadella, speck (a ham with a characteristic juniper flavour), bresaola and salami; or the homemade tomato sauces, pesto or veal ragout.
