The rural getaways they are in one of their best moments, and that fascinates us. But we are no longer looking for just any accommodation. We want a place with leaving our companion with his mouth open and even surprise ourselves when we arrive!
Well, we have found that place and it is called teepee, and is hidden in the heart of the Sierra de Gredos, halfway between Ramacastañas and Mombeltran. And there we went to enjoy nature with the amenities of a 5 star hotel.
Surrounded by a lush pine forest, its six wooden tipis of 20 square meters are built under a sustainable Philosophy, taking maximum care of the earth, promoting recycling and also supporting the local economy.
In addition, they have all the comforts: an environment in which every detail is pampered in an environment to relax and connect with oneself and, how could it be otherwise, the pets are welcome!

MADRID, A STONE'S THROW FROM PARADISE
This paradise can be reached in less than two hours from the capital. Just 150 kilometers from Madrid, The Teepe hides at outskirts of the town of Mombeltrán. To get there, we had to pass the recreational area called Playas Blancas, go down that same road, cross a bridge and after a beautiful spot with natural pools, a bar and a barbecue area, at the fork in the paths, take the one on the left.
There he received us Elena Smith, the project creator. "I'm a nurse. I worked in England for five years. There I met the concept of glamping for the first time and fell in love with it. When I returned to Spain, in the middle of the pandemic and after hard months of work at the Gregorio Marañón ICU, I decided to make my dream come true". And so Glamping The Teepee was born in June 2021.

WOODEN CABINS WITH PINE SCENTED
When Elena accompanied us to our little wooden cabin, she surprised us that there was enough separation between all of us. A small path of white stones she led us to ours and when we walked in we loved how delicately everything was taken care of.
The decoration based on reused materials gave everyone a second life. Inside the tipi, a large bed, tables, a small fridge, coffee maker and even a kettle.
Each of the cabins has its own name and a symbol, and they are all connected to nature: air, fire, wood, earth, water and mineral. And although the bathroom and shower are located in other modules, each cabin can open its own with the tipi key, thus preserving the privacy.
Hammocks to relax or read a book, tables and benches to eat... and everything surrounded by a fresh pine scent while listening to nature as the only soundtrack. When we take off our shoes, the one that adheres us to the routine, and we step on the wet grass, that simple act fills us with sensations while we say to ourselves... "Why don't I do this more often?".
The forest awaits you, out there.
AUTUMN, THE PERFECT SEASON
If you are looking for the perfect season to reserve in this place, autumn has no comparison. It is perfect to fully enjoy the lush forests pine and pick mushrooms in various routes, marked by experts.
Here bet on ecotourism offering experiences in a natural environment with the least possible human impact. It is a dream come true, sleep without noise, letting the whisper of the wind and the murmur of the river appease our thoughts.
the mild birdsong wakes us up at dawn while we smell fresh coffee. Breakfast offers a wide variety of artisan products to put on your boots.
There are unique areas dedicated to relaxation with swing chairs and a tipi-jaima to swing while listening to your favorite music. And if you feel like cooking your own breakfast, they have three gas stoves and all the utensils are rented so you don't have to bring anything from home.
The night has its charm.
Even you can order food at home or have your purchase brought to the door of your tipi. And the accommodation can be fully rented for celebrations and events or simply to spend a family vacation. Furthermore, among the Future projects is the creation of a sauna and a zone of campfires to feel like a real boy scout in the middle of the forest.
PLANS NOT TO GET BORED
In the Barranco de las Cinco Villas and surroundings of Sierra de Gredos, there are plenty of plans! If you have an adventurous spirit there are plenty of hiking trails or by bike. The Route of the Five Towns (17 kilometres) or El Circo de Gredos to visit The Gredos Lagoon They are more than recommended.

For lovers of adrenaline there is kayak plans, canyoning, climbing, quads and even paragliding. The companies that organize it, Vera Mountain Y Track Gredos , have been organizing these activities for years and are true professionals.
10 km from The Teepe are the Eagle Caves, that offer an unprecedented karstic landscape in this area. They have about three million years and they are formed by very folded crystalline limestone, which the erosion of the air and the wind reduced to low-lying hills, elevated above the Arenal and Avellaneda rivers.
It is made up of several naves and you can walk a one kilometer stretch that has been paved over the unevenness with steps to enjoy them. The Great Cavern Room treasure capricious formations such as columns or stalactites, and just just outside the glamping passes the river Ramacastañas.
The best? That in summer they close a small gate and it becomes a natural pool to enjoy a refreshing dip.
Crystal pools. You dare?
Just one kilometer away, there are also the Wells of San Felipe, a kind of pots excavated in the granite, which are formed when water catches a boulder and rotates it like a drill until it drills into the rock and forms these large natural pots.
A TASTY AND TRADITIONAL CUISINE

The restaurant Angel's Corner, with a splendid viewpoint to the Sierra de Gredos, does not fail Either the Marquesito, with its tasty traditional and fusion cuisine, in a setting that looks like a doll's house.
