On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the British artist, Lucian Freud (1922-2011), the National Gallery organizes a historical exhibition in London titled Lucian Freud: New Perspectives.
The exposition, sponsored by Credit Suisse, brings together a wide selection of its plays over seven decades, from early works such as Girl with Roses (British Council Collection) from the 1940s, through reflection with two children (Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, Madrid) in the 1960s, to his famous late works.
Focusing on his tireless and always restless commitment to painting, the nooks and crannies of the National Gallery seek to envelop with new perspectives on the Lucian Freud art , as well as looking at the artistic development of one of the British figurative painters most influential.

THE EXHIBITION LUCIAN FREUD: NEW PERSPECTIVES IN LONDON
Lucian Freud studied and explored his artistic predecessors, which we can see reflected in his character portraits, which have clung to the flowers of the German artist Hans Holbein , the interiors used the inspiration of the surrealism , and also revealed traces of the Renaissance.
From his earliest days in London, Freud He was a regular visitor to the National Gallery , with whom he maintained a close relationship over the years. "I use the gallery as if I were a doctor, Freud told journalist Michael Kimmelman. I come looking for ideas and help, to view situations within frames, rather than entire frames. The freud painting astutely reflects the history of art, placing itself in the tradition of historical court painters such as Rubens (1577-1640) or Velazquez (1599-1660), while he paid unflinching attention to everyday characters, including his own mother, documented at the end of his life.
Freud used to frame his characters in domestic environments and in his paint-spattered studio, a place that became the setting and subject of his works in its own right. The exhibition, which shows the evolution of the practice of Freud throughout the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, culminates with some of the portraits of freud nudes.
The exhibition will take place at the National Gallery in London.
For its part, the exposition includes more than 60 loans from museums and large private collections from around the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the British Council Collection in London and the Arts Council Collection in London. It is curated by Daniel F. Hermann , curator of modern and contemporary projects of the National Gallery , In collaboration with Paloma Alarco , chief curator of modern painting at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, and David Dawson, of the Lucian Freud Archive.
