'Wait up mommy look what I got for you!'
If the first year we announced the awards for The Comedy Wildlife Photography a total of 3,500 photos were sent we do not even want to imagine what it has been like to select the finalists among more than 7,500 . One more edition, these awards promise to make us smile, because before knowing the extinction of one more species, we prefer to observe the funniest side of animals . That they have it, and it is much more interesting than we think.
The Comedy Wildlife Photography began its journey as a contest that altruistically selected the best and funniest photographs of the animal kingdom and it has continued like this for another year. The project started in 2015 thanks to professional photographers Tom Sullam Y Paul Joynson Hicks , and people from all over the world participate in them, from South America to Australia.
In this edition, 44 images have been selected and the winner will be announced on October 22 . The prize, as always, is the recognition of having made us laugh and, in addition, a safari in Kenya in the camps of Alex Walker's Serian and two cameras. Here you can see them.
As pointed out from the contest to Traveler.es, in the 2020 edition the quality of the photographs has increased. “The standard of images has risen across the board, both in terms of image quality and humor. We have never had so many good tickets and although it makes it difficult to select the winner, we haven't stopped laughing since the end of the competition!” Tom explains to Traveler.es.
