“The murals that have been done in this edition are all in Castrogonzalo, a very small town (500 inhabitants) that can be explored on foot in a while, so it is difficult to give directions to visit them... It is worth it for those who go take a walk and see not only these but everything that has been there for years, especially Parsec pieces! who is the local artist and one of the architects of these rural safaris ”, explains to Condé Nast Traveler, Guillermo de la Madrid soul of Madrid Street Art Project together with Diana Prieto, and organizers of this Country Safari .

This year some pieces have been soaked by the wealth of the town, its idiosyncrasies, its customs or its aesthetics. “There are local references, for example, in the thistle that Ygu has painted, or in ** the flowers of Le **, which are protected species from the province of Zamora, or in the woodpecker of Joaquin Vila , that He woke us up in the mornings by the river Esla... ”, says Guillermo de la Madrid.

Others, on the other hand, complete murals from past editions, as in the case of Pablo S. Herrero : his work Haz (as a set of particles or light rays from the same origin) dialogues with Unexpected Parsec by Parsec! (In the first image) . The latter have been adapted to space as in the case of Sue975 .

From Madrid Street Art Project they affirm that the reception has been very good . “Despite being the third edition, the arrival of artists who paint spaces in the town still caused surprise (always positive), and more than one neighbor has approached the artists interested in painting his door, or his facade . In addition, the neighbors themselves participated in the route (or rural safari) that took place on Saturday and that served so that Antonio Feliz Parsec! show us his works and give us all the details of what he has been doing in town since the 90s ”, recalls Guillermo de la Madrid. Parsec! is an urban artist living in Madrid and promoter of the Safari Rural project, a lively and vibrant love letter to his town: Castrogonzalo.

After a weekend of intense work, walks to explore the area and barbecues, this small town in Zamora adds ten new murals to its collection and several pieces to discover. One of our favorites is the collaborative piece an exquisite corpse , to which they added their talent: Parsec!, Brodbus, Please , Jonipoint , Sue975 , Pablo S. Herrero and Joaquín Vila , each contributing their shapes and styles. Do you already want to lose yourself in its streets?
