If there is anything we can extract from the new edition of The Bird Photographer Of The Year (BPOTY) 2021 is that the birds of the world have fed well this year, or at least they have tried to. In the impressive 21 images that were taken this 2020 by photographers from all over the world, we see eagles, penguins, ducks, hummingbirds, cranes and all kinds of fascinating birds in their habitat, whether hunting, relaxing or sharing moments of the most curious with Other animals.
We can say that the world of birds is as fascinating as any other in the animal kingdom. This is demonstrated by the photo contest The Bird Photographer Of The Year (BPOTY) 2021 in which some have participated 22,000 images from 73 different countries , and of which we will know its winner on September 21.
Until then we can enjoy the 21 finalists , which is not little.
"This year we've seen an incredible 22,000 entries, with images coming from all over the world," Will Nicholls, wildlife photographer and director of BPOTY, said in a statement. “The standard of photography has been incredibly high and the diversity in species great to see. The judges are going to have a hard time deciding the winner among so much competition."
For the sixth consecutive year, this contest puts its gratin of sand to make visible the diversity of species in the world, as well as to guarantee conservation through the organization Birds on the Brink from United Kingdom.
The winner of this 2021 will receive a prize of 5,000 dollars, in addition to the recognition of the best bird photographer of the year and will be part of the book published with all the finalists, as is done in each new edition.
