THE GREAT POMPEII PROJECT

Although the excavations began in 1748, the most transcendental event of the last decade is the Great Pompeii Project . Launched in order to safeguard one of the most valuable heritage for the History of Humanity.

Bliss recovery work meant a disbursement of some 140 million euros, largely financed by the European Union, which has allowed the world, after five years of hard work, to succumb to sculptures, mosaics, inscriptions, furniture and precious objects of the ancient decoration of the city of Pompeii.
