Crater Lake National Park
Year after year, the united states national parks receive thousands and thousands of adventurers from all over the world who are seeking to discover grandiose mountain formations, delve into crystal clear lakes and succumb to landscapes that become unlikely. And although the last few months may have been the exception in record numbers of visitors, the National Park Service hopes that nature lovers will slowly return, and that is why it has announced when will it be possible to visit them for free in 2021.
Of the more than 400 National Park Service sites across the United States, there are at least 100 that charge an entrance fee, with costs ranging from 7 and 55 dollars according to recent updates, while the rest do not have an entry cost.
“Each of the free days celebrates or commemorates an important event. In all the country, each national park provides a variety of opportunities to get out into nature , connect with our common heritage, and experience the wide range of benefits that come from spending time outdoors. Hopefully the free days will encourage everyone to spend some time in their national parks," said Margaret Everson, Director of the National Park Service, in a press release.

Beyond American Beautiful Pass , the $80 pass that allows unlimited entry to some 2,000 recreational areas, the free days in the coming months are a great initiative to promote recreational activities and visits to national parks , improve visitor facilities, and preserve America's vast natural and historic spaces.
According to the announcement, these will be the days with free entry for visitors in 2021:
January 18 : Martin Luther King, Jr Day
April 17th : First day of the National Park Week event (a week-long celebration at parks across the country).
August 4th : anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act (a legislation that will allocate billions of dollars to repairs and maintenance to the national parks of the United States).
August 25th : anniversary of the National Park Service.
September 25th : National Public Lands Day.
November 11th : Veterans Day.
The Acadia National Park , the Grand Canyon National Park , Rocky Mountain National Park, and Crater Lake National Park are just a few of the sites that typically charge admission, but thanks to the initiative of the National Park Service you can visit them for free in 2021.
