2022 is the year in which Seoul has estimated that the first museum made by and for robotics will open its doors. The government of Seoul, in South Korea, launched a competition in order to find the best design proposal for the construction of the Robot Science Museum (RBM).
In this way, he wanted to support the interest in robotics felt by the country and make known in a museum some of the best projects and advances in the sector. This is how the Turkish company Melike Altın k Architects - MAA has won the competition and will be leading this ambitious project in the city.
Your goal is to build it in the renovation area of the Chang-dong cultural and economic center , in the northern part of Seoul; also linked to Museum of Photographic Art (PAM) that will be built next to the RSM.

"The new RSM, which plays a catalytic role in advancing and promoting science, technology and innovation throughout society not only will it exhibit robots , but in reality they will be in charge of the design, manufacture, construction and services of the museum. In other words, RSM will start its first exhibition with its own construction ", said the director of design, Melike Altın k.
How will the museum be built? The parts of the oblate structure will be molded, welded, assembled and polished by robots; and will also be used for 3d construction of the gardens that will surround the museum. While the drones they will be used to map, survey and control robotic construction vehicles.
Exhibitions of the museum buildings themselves will begin in 2020 , and the finished museum will open its doors in 2022 . In fact, it will not be the only one in the area, because the Robot Science Museum is one more part of the renovation of the Chang-dong area in Seoul.
