The chef Danny Garcia, with three Michelin stars, has embarked on a new adventure: that of creating a series of dishes inspired by the personalities of celebrities gamers Rubius, Vegeta and Willyrex for your delivery project available at Glovo and Just Eat La Gran Familia Mediterránea.
Under the name of The Gaming Family, everyone has worked hand in hand to get a letter that goes into fantasy worlds thanks to purple sauces, square pizzas, backpacks japanese with katanaunicorn ice cream and other surprising elements that fans of these three content creators recognize as part of their idols' personalities.
"The idea of inviting profiles from other territories to join the family was always there, it's part of our DNA," Garcia tells Traveler.es. " Working with these content creators is something that made perfect sense to us, because we have been able to interact and reach their communities through something that unites us all: food. that's why we wanted bring that content home , for people to be closer to Rubius, Vegeta and Willy and for them to be closer to their followers. It's something new , that nobody had undertaken until now; We are very excited about this project, which has broken with everything established before in the kitchen and in the metaverse ”, he explains.

THE GAMING FAMILY IN FUENGIROLA COMIC CON
On June 4, The Gaming Family will become tangible in the first edition of the Fuengirola Comic Con , “the headquarters of largest event dedicated to lovers of comics, movies, series, gaming and Internet ”, according to its organizers. The event, to be held in Malaga, will include K-Pop concerts, comic book and dubbing signings, games, Cosplay exhibitions and a food trucks in which the snacks prepared by Dani García and his unexpected troupe will be available.
"From the beginning, everyone was involved it couldn't be any other way”, recalls the chef. “Each of his dishes had to breathe your world, their way of relating and their tastes. We started throwing ideas at each other and trying different things (we got a little over the top) and finally, we got together in one of the kitchens of La Gran Familia to try together what we had been devising and put the finishing touches on it. Lots of new things came out many others were discarded that we were sorry not to bring to light. Who knows, maybe one of these days we will do it…”.

Among those "follies" that the four devised is the Tonkatsu Burger from the famous youtuber Rubius, a japan style breaded pork burger, melted cheddar cheese, Chinese cabbage salad and tasty tonkatsu sauce. It can be accompanied by Ruby Fries, some crunchy fries with mayo-Valentina sauce.
For their part, fans of Vegeta , the outstanding talent of the world Minecraft , you can enjoy the first square crustless pizza, the Pizza Crafts, with a mixture of cheeses, Minecraft pepperoni and lots of sauce… purple!
Willyrex Paradise, Finally, he has invented the chicken zeus, a twist to classic hot dog always, but stuffed with crispy chicken tenders accompanied by guacamole sauce, onion, sour cream and crispy Doritos.
The 'Tonkatsu Burger' of El Rubius
The biggest challenge for a Michelin chef when it comes to creating such an exceptional menu? “ Don't limit us. We are used to following kitchen rules and going the way you know people want. With these menus, we start with the rule of ‘we are going to let our imagination run wild, not limit ourselves and then, we see how we adjust it to reality,’” says García.
“For example, we knew we wanted a Japanese-inspired dessert for Dojo Rubius, and all of a sudden, he thought we should have a 'Katana assassin' with which you will prick the mochi for the filling to come out. In the end, we got it. One of the things that I love about The Gaming Family as a chef is that it is pure gaming; is literally play with food and have fun. Because that's what it's about, right?”.
