Chocolate cake recipe (without flour) from Delfina, in Lisbon

INGREDIENTS:

400 grams of dark chocolate broken into small pieces

350 grams of unsalted butter (broken into pieces)

350 grams of sugar

8 eggs

ELABORATION:

1.Turn on the oven at 160°.

2. Add the pieces of chocolate and butter in a bowl and gently melt in a bain-marie.

3.Separate the egg whites and yolks and reserve for later.

4.In a bowl, add the sugar and egg yolks and beat until fluffy and then add the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.

5.In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks, then mix with the other ingredients until well blended.

6.Place the mixture in two round molds cake approx. 26 cm and put in the oven for about 45-50 minutes.

The perfect accompaniment to the cake? A scoop of ice cream.
