An enchanted castle… really? Yes, you can believe it. We talk about one 15th Century Fortress, wonderfully preserved, and “inhabited” by all kinds of extraordinary creatures. "We have a dungeon with dragons, secret passages, ghosts and fantastic animals."
It is stated by those responsible for this magical place abandoned for a long time, until the City Council of Trigueros del Valle (Valladolid), Through Pedro Pérez, its mayor, he decided to bring it to life. “He contacted John Villa , a sculptor specializing in film and television props and sets, who also has his workshop in the nearby town of Cubillas de Santa Marta”, they tell us.
“The idea is to put the existing castle in Trigueros to use, to serve as a claim for tourism, generate local work and help make this heritage visible, so that it can be followed restoring and preserving. It is a pity to see how an imposing fortress falls into oblivion and little by little disappears: this project is precisely aimed at promote its use and generate rural tourism in the area”.
A VISIT TO HAVE A FEAR
To visit the Enchanted Castle is to immerse yourself completely in a fantasy universe. "It is not the typical boring visit: you have to let your imagination run wild and discover a whole world of creativity," they detail from the organization. “ Unicorns, ghosts, goblins, dragons and legends They inhabit every corner of the castle, looking very royal. It all begins in the central courtyard, from where you can access the various rooms: the dungeon of the dragon, the laboratory of experiments, the enchanted tower, the cabinet of curiosities or the hall of cryptozoology, the area dedicated to extinct, mythological or folkloric animals. "No two visits are the same: you always notice details that you had not seen," they explain from the Enchanted Castle. “In addition, the exhibition is complemented throughout the year with various specials: you cannot miss it! The route is completed in an hour and a half more or less, in a self-guided visit in which it is also possible take our pets with us.
