Airbnb launches a contest for lovers of Halloween and Vlad Tepes
We had already discovered it: the castle of Bran, despite having an aura of irresistible novelistic mystery, has no real relationship with Vlad Tepes. Of course, inside there are explanatory panels on the myth of Dracula, the history of the castle and his total lack of relationship with the historical Vlad Tepes , who apparently did not even spend a night there. And yet it is so overwhelming, photogenic and its silhouette so similar to the vampire castles of the collective imagination that the visit is unavoidable.
That is why Airbnb has decided to open a contest so that you can spend a night, from October 31 to November 1, inside... and yes, accompanied by whoever you want. To do this, you only have to answer one question: "What would you say to Count Dracula if you ran into him in his own dwelling?" and wait for Airbnb's verdict.
Attention to the description of your arrival:
The wooden gate will be opened for you by Dacre Stoker, descendant of Bram Stoker, Transylvanian lore expert and your host tonight. Enter the castle and take advantage of until sunset to lose yourself in the labyrinth of corridors illuminated with twinkling light and explore every nook and cranny of the mansion. Wander through the different rooms (there are 57 to discover!), from those perched on the tower, to the darkest crypts. Or if you prefer, go to the viewpoint and let yourself be enchanted by the overwhelming view of the Carpathians bathed in the last rays of the sun. Take refuge indoors before the night catches you off guard. We've heard stories about unexpected guests knocking on doors in the wee hours of the morning...
