No, we haven't gone crazy. We know that we are in April and that it is spring. However, the latest news that reaches us from beyond the wall has left us frozen: HBO celebrates the Iron Anniversary!

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the premiere of the Game of Thrones series, HBO has organized a celebration that will last throughout the month and that aims to engage fans and warm up engines for the next milestone in the franchise, House of the Dragon, which arrives in 2022.

THE MARATHRONE BEGINS!

Game of Thrones has been one of the biggest events in television history, culminating in 45 million viewers in the United States, distribution in 207 territories around the world, and a massive global army of fans who do their best to celebrate the series.

What does the Iron Anniversary bring us? First, Starting April 10, HBO will launch the MaraThrone of Game of Thrones with the first season airing on HBO2 at 10:00 a.m. PT. ET, challenging fans to continue watching all 73 episodes of the series on HBO Max while raising funds for select global charities.

For two weeks, Game of Thrones cast members will bring the fandom together to contribute to one of ten worthy causes: Women for Women International, World Central Kitchen, Conservation International, Human Rights Watch, International Rescue Committee (IRC), UNICEF, FilmAid. International, SameYou, Royal Mencap Society and Trevor Project.

A selection of superfans and influencers will receive a personalized MaraThrone kit with fun essentials to aid in their marathon viewing experiences, while six unique marathon routes will offer fans who want to experience the series in a whole new way a little direction.

Viewers can choose from collections of episodes focused on the entire series, following the Mother of Dragons through her most fiery moments, travel with Arya to Braavos and beyond, enjoy the best battles, see the Army of the Dead come to life or relive the series.

WEDDING GIFTS AND SPECIAL EDITIONS

Throughout the month of April, HBO will surprise three couples who married in Westeros-themed ceremonies with special anniversary gifts of their own: “Thrones”-branded wine barrels, custom goblets and elaborate cakes designed in partnership with local bakeries to represent the “Game of Thrones” Houses of Targaryens, Starks and Lannisters.

Additionally, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and its licensing partners have come together to create a variety of special edition products that kick off the Iron Anniversary.

One of our favourites? Without a doubt, the unique imperial egg of Fabergé, the world's most iconic jewelry artist, inspired by Daenerys Targaryen and co-designed by series costume designer Michele Clapton.

The egg includes a miniature crown designed by Michele Clapton, representing the crown that Daenerys would have worn had she taken the Iron Throne.

To toast in style, Mikkeller, the Danish craft beer company, has launched a range of beers inspired by the series, that will allow fans from all over the world to celebrate pitcher by pitcher. Fans can now celebrate with the first beer in the range, called Iron Anniversary IPA.

And the Funkos could not be missing! The leader in pop culture merchandise has unveiled a new limited edition iron textured collection of fan-favorite POP collectibles from the series and new figures based on Arya Stark, Khal Drogo and many more.

Finally, Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection is available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Also, the complete series is available on HBO Spain.
