Seven perfect 'dog friendly' beaches to enjoy with your dog this summer
Traveling with dogs is never a problem. Your furry four-legged friend is part of the family and must always travel with you. Unfortunately in Spain, Although we take great care of our beaches, we still have a long way to go when it comes to canine beaches. But we have good beaches for dogs. 1. TOWER OF THE SEA (MALAGA)
It is possibly one of the best dog beaches in our country. The dog beach of Torre del Mar is very close to the mouth of the Vélez River and has been recognized as the first Andalusian dog beach with the Q certification for tourist quality.
It is very large, almost 4,000 square meters and being an urban beach you have everything you need close by. Your dog will see it as an amusement park since one of the areas is equipped with swings for dogs with ramps, wheels and even a jump ring for the most intrepid.
Everything is perfectly marked and fenced so it allows some relaxation. In addition, another option is the nearby dog beach of Torrox. Long live the Axarquia!
Where to eat: with dogs in Torre del Mar you have it complicated because pets are not usually allowed in almost any restaurant. Maybe with luck you can be with them on the terraces next to the lighthouse or in some beach bars in Torrox. But just in case, bring a fridge.

2.LA RUBINA (GIRONA)
This beach is within the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park and is recognized as the first canine beach we had in our country.

3.LLEVANT (BARCELONA)
It is the urban beach par excellence. Hundreds of Barcelonans gather at this stretch of Llevant beach to spend the day with their pets.
Located next to the port, this beach has fine and pleasant sand and a lot of services just a step away, Well, the Diagonal shopping center is just opposite.
It is one of the best equipped beaches in the province, as it has showers, drinking fountains, rubbish bins (this is much appreciated) and is generally quite clean. 4.CALETA DELS GOSSETS (ALICANTE)
This small cove is usually very crowded in summer as it is located in front of a protected nature reserve next to Cape Santa Pola. It has fine black sand, which is appreciated and its access is very controlled.
The day at the beach can be completed with a walk on the mountain in front of the cape and take the perfect snapshot of the sea. It has a parking lot nearby that is quite more than acceptable.
Perhaps its small size and the absence of footbaths is what can detract from this beach, but it is still the most popular in the province of Alicante by dog lovers.

5.PINEDO (VALENCIA)
It is one of the youngest beaches and access with pets is only allowed during the summer months. This year it has increased its surface by 50% allowing a capacity of 600 people , separated from Pinedo beach by posts and buoys in the water.
It has many positive points like surveillance, showers for people and fresh water hose for your dog. As a negative point the parking lot is too small and the proximity of the rocks to the beach does not invite much.
Where to eat: at the Maremar restaurant, on Pinedo beach, It is possible to eat with your furry friend but it must be on the terrace. Ideal to eat a little rice or fish of the day. They can put it for you to take away in case you prefer to eat on the beach.

6.PORTIÑO AND ESPIÑO (PONTEVEDRA)
These fabulous canine beaches are located in one of the largest Galician paradises, O Grove. With a familiar and relaxed atmosphere, although perhaps the touch of the sand, somewhat coarser than normal and with gravel, is not entirely pleasant.
