THE TEN SAFEST LOW COST AIRLINES FOR 2022

Airline Ratings has also produced the list of ten low cost airlines (LCC) safer by 2022, Thanks to which "millions of people travel for the first time or take trips that they could not otherwise pay for," they say from the consultancy.

In this case, they do not elaborate a ranking of positions but rather list them in alphabetical order, they are: Allegiant, easyjet, Frontier, Jetstar Group, Jetblue, Ryanair, Vietjet, Volaris, Westjet and Wizz.

Among the factors used to select them are: records of incidents In the last two years, records of accidents in the last five years, results of audits carried out by aviation's governing body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), EU prohibited vehicle lists and fleet age.

METHODOLOGY AND APPROACH

To compile the list of the safest airlines, the editors of AirlineRatings.com analyze the following factors: accidents for five years, serious incidents for two years, governing body audits aviation and leading associations; government audits, fleet age and covid protocols to make your determinations.

“However, all airlines have incidents every day, and many are aircraft or engine manufacturing problems, no airline operational issues. It's the way the flight crew handles these incidents what determines a good airline from an unsafe one”, explains Geoffrey Thomas.

And he continues: “Our twenty safest airlines for 2022 are always at the forefront of innovation in safety, operational excellence and the launch of new, more advanced aircraft such as the Airbus A350 (above) and the Boeing 787”.

Airline Ratings was launched in June 2013 and rates safety, products in flight and compliance with regulations related to covid-19 from 385 airlines using its unique seven-star rating system.
