FULL MAY. As we are used to, Commercial Coffee arrive on time to present us with a month full of plans. His cultural agenda takes place in his mythical restaurant, with a proposal of the chef pepe rock.

This same Thursday, May 5, Carlota Mad will be in charge of the show , with a musical performance, but will be followed by Danny Boy's monologue next Wednesday, singer-songwriter Grex on Thursday or Santi Alverú's late night, among many other plans. TO VIETNAM FROM MADRID. We have always been advocates that local cuisine is one of the best ways to get to know a destination. This time, we pack (or not) and let's go to Vietnam , but without leaving the capital, thanks to the hotel NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding and the celebration of II Culinary Vietnam Edition.

From May 5 to 7, Kim Binh, the executive chef of the Luk Lak restaurant in Hanoi, invites us to culinary days in which we can savor the Asian country with delicious dishes: spring rolls, Bun Chá , prawn salad with lotus roots, grilled chicken with banana leaf or red beans with coconut milk, among others. This weekend, our taste buds take us to Halong Bay in Saigon. (Father Damian Street, 23. Reservations: 91 353 73 00)

TO THE ARMCHAIRS. Sometimes because they make us laugh, others cry, or simply because we see ourselves immensely identified, plays have been stirring our emotions for a long time. Tomorrow, May 6 , the perfect example of this opens: the Teatro Lagrada hosts Before after, a play by Roland Schimmelpfenning, directed by Dayron Triay.

Numerous lives and numerous decisions, Before/After introduces us to seemingly ordinary people whose daily choices will choose the flow of your day to day. A demonstration of how life is the spitting image of a roller coaster that goes through the routine, but also pain, loneliness or love.

People who are looking for themselves, who want to find love or who show their deepest fears, this work comes to leave us still in our seats, observing, as they say, life itself . (Until May 22. Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. Calle Ercilla, 20)

WITH HEIGHT. Today, May 5, we have an appointment with a view, specifically on the terrace of the seventh floor of Four Seasons Madrid . The person in charge of quoting us is Danny Garcia and the theme is as promising as its name announces: Tuna, Caviar and Champagne “Madrid Edition” . The chef celebrates his first tuna ronqueo in the capital, a term attributed to the sound of cutting it.

Every spring, this species moves from the North Atlantic to the Mediterranean, making it a very special time to consume it. They will accompany us there the cocktails of the Head Bartender Raúl Navarro , but in addition, the chef has prepared a special menu that will remain until May 8 and can be savored when the ronqueo is finished.

Nigiri of o'toro and white soybeans; unloading of tuna , yellow pepper, cilantro and black olive or tuna neck smoked with vine shoots, soft wheat, coconut and kimchi will be some of the dishes included in a tasting whose soundtrack will be played by the DJs Sandro Bianchi and Mestiza . NEW REFERENCE. The Quevedo roundabout has just become our new point of reference when planning our next vacation. It is there where they have just settled World2Fly and OnlineTours with their new travel agency.

An environment set in Cuban airs and a clear intention to make us want to pack our bags for the Caribbean destination. To do this, we will have the routes opened by the airline that connect Madrid with Havana , but also those that will arrive next summer between Lisbon and Varadero.

Wide and comfortable seats, and a quiet environment for a more than appetizing flight, thanks to World2Fly, and the facilities in hotels, cars, excursions and circuits, thanks to Onlinetours. Are we going to Cuba? (Quevedo roundabout, 7)

CULTURAL GASTRONOMY. Culture and gastronomy are two of our passions, and therefore, also one of our favorite plans. Both have come together in the second edition of L’Archeotape, a project by Menja't Montjuïc and the Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya. The event, held in the neighborhood of Poble-sec, invites us to eat a lot and delight ourselves with a bit of history.

There are 20 restaurants participating in the reinterpretation of covers based on the exhibition shipwrecked Submerged History . The starting gun was given on April 29, but we have until May 22 for our gastronomic tour.

pickled mackerel with farinata, crumbs with cod, seafood crackers, smoked sardines or salmon sashimi with mascarpone foam will be some of the dishes that parade these days. We can always eat and end the day with a visit to the exhibition.

INDUSTRIALLY ARTISTIC. Art has the power to create beauty even where we think there is none. That's what it goes to show the festival NYS Polygon Arts , an event that turns industrial estates into a blank canvas. From May 6 to June 5, the polygons of Castellbisbal join contemporary culture , with the participation of 14 companies and more than 32 artists exhibiting their work throughout the month.

The starting gun will be The exhibition Climb. A case study of photographic avant-gardes , a sample of vintage photographic series of the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century. The festival will continue with various interventions by artists such as Sylvie Bussieres , the illustrator Anna Mimo or the visual artist Xevi Bayonne , among many others. This month, the polygons are no longer industrial to become works of art.
