September is a weird month. It does not fail: year after year, when day 1 arrives, we tear off the page of the calendar without being very clear whether to go back to the beach or to school, whether to wear a brand new backpack or hurry up the meyba, whether to eat watermelons that are no longer there or to harvest bunches that are not yet.
Our September issue is the backbone of their stories between the desire to squeeze the last rays of summer sun and the irrepressible desire for autumn; of autumn that rhymes with escapade.
That is why, somewhat unconsciously, those of us who make Condé Nast Traveler seek just this month to attract your attention more than ever, try to shake the sand off your flip flops and force you to Don't even think about taking your suitcase up to the loft. Leave it there, leave it close, the journey continues.
On this occasion, our September cover is not only about where, but about whom. And of why. And how. brooklyn beckham , a charming fellow beyond his colossal surname, makes his debut in our country in a big way as a travel photographer for Condé Nast , and he does it after having shown his talent in campaigns for BMW, Wrangler or Burberry, and learned to frame wildlife with the master Sir David Attenbororugh, almost nothing.

The "where" he chose, Los Angeles, and there he went with the string of his favorite addresses, the same ones that he went through one by one without letting go of his camera.
Then came the "how" to solve the cover image, and there we were weird: "Look, Brooklyn, as the photographer you are, take a selfie and that's it." No production, no lights, no stylist, no trap or cardboard.
But beware, I didn't really mean to be so weird: after all, this is a travel and travel magazine, and there is nothing more normal than uploading a self-portrait to Instagram when you arrive at your destination, the same thing Armstrong and Aldrin would have done today on the Moon... and passing flags.
