After two years marked by the pandemic, during which most have tried to avoid abroad, the favorite destinations of our neighbors continue to be the nationals.
This is what they say, for example, from the tourist accommodation platform Booking, which on March 10, assured that the favorite destination to spend Easter was Seville, with almost 10% of reservations. It makes sense, considering that the famous Easter of the Andalusian capital will now be held for the first time in two years. The insurance comparator Tracker , for its part, explains that searches for travel insurance so far this year have increased by 76% compared to 2021, with modalities that include health care (66%) and cancellation and medical care (21%). And what about vacation rentals, which have also been so popular since the pandemic? According to the specialized search engine Holidu, Spain has a 62% occupancy in this type of accommodation for Holy Week. Among the most desired places are the Balearics (reach 74% of bookings) and Canary Islands (67% ).
Other less warm shores are also hitting hard. We talk about the beauty Basque Coast (with 71% occupancy), of the fascinating Garraf Coast, in Catalonia (69%), and the appetizing Asturian Green Coast (68%).
