The idea is to give voice and surrender tribute to the feminine universe and women through a project in which art, music and cinema come together in different events. In this strange 2021, Woman is Art has brought together seven women from different artistic fields, through whose works You can visit different parts of the world, from Madrid to Mexico, passing through Dubai.

The gallery of works offers a polyhedral tour through the gaze and work of creators who are challenging inequalities in the art industry and opening doors to other creatives of the future. “For me, the most important point of art in general is the capacity it has to bring people closer together and create a community”, says Irene Baon, who with her work transports us to ME Sitges.

"More and more street art, for example, claims equality," continues the painter. "We are on the road to change but we need the support of galleries and organizations so that there is an equity that until today is improving, but very slowly. It is incredible that ARCO still not even 20% of women artists are reached who participate”, she concludes. The photographer Ana Hop and the feminist artist Veronica Ruth Frias They also participate in this Meliá creative platform.

In this way, each of the selected artists takes us 'on a trip' to one of the ME hotels: Irene to the one in Sitges and Barcelona, ​​Baker to the ME London, Bertoccchi to ME Milan, Cintia Lund to ME Madrid, Hop to ME Cabo, Frias to ME Dubai and Ana Rujas at ME Ibiza. The new ME Barcelona will soon join the chain's portfolio, in the heart of the city (Casp street with Paseo de Gràcia), which will open its doors to join the family.
