“My maps are memories, they are moments… And each one is unique and different, and that's what makes them more special, since there can be two maps of the same site, but they will still be different. because each one can add her special places either with figures, markers… Each one tells her story on a map”, Mireia Corta, the person behind Me Studio, explains to Travelerer.es.

She also says that she talks a lot with her clients to understand what they want to convey and how she can express it, which ends up resulting in “fully custom maps, drawn and designed from scratch so that they are super special and have a unique line”.

“All the maps that I create have their history. Many are for love, I would tell you that the majority. They usually tell me their story, most with a happy ending, some others not so much... But all that remains between us, they are secret stories, ”she summarizes.
Fully custom maps drawn and designed from scratch
In fact, it was in this way, with her own history, that she began to make these personalized maps. “It was a gift that I gave my partner for Christmas 2019. It occurred to me to capture the place where we met on a map, point it out and add important places in the city, but when searching and searching on other pages, I did not find something so personalized like what I wanted. Not finding what I was looking for, I decided to do it myself and that's how it came about San Sebastian map, the first map you can see on my profile and the most special one for me”, says Mireia.
The gift was very popular, so much so that Some friends encouraged her to create a profile on social networks and try her luck. "At that time I didn't do it, but a few months later, after giving it a couple of turns, in the midst of a pandemic, I launched it and started taking orders."
It was on July 9, 2020 her when she featured them on her Instagram profile with a giveaway to celebrate the account's 1,000 followers. “The truth is that I am very happy, I see that the same thing happened to many people, they were looking for a map, but they could not find something so personalized, and now they contact me and together we create a super special map. It is wonderful!"
And it is that for Mireia, who assures that she has always been very detailed, one of the best things that she is giving her this work is to share the illusion of those who give it and those who receive it. “I have had the opportunity to know a lot of beautiful stories behind the maps that I create, and I have seen the emotion of those people when they see the result. They usually send me videos, photos… That is priceless”.

Graphic designer and community manager by profession, Mireia, who has lived in San Sebastián for about 6 or 7 years when she moved there from Aulesti to study, she enjoys pampering the client and taking care of her souvenirs so that they look perfect.
“I think there is nothing more gratifying than seeing the happiness of a client when they see that you have managed to capture what they were looking for and even better than they imagined. In the end, It is a super personalized job and we are usually in contact throughout the process so that the result is what they are looking for and they love it”.
She has already taken the next step and she has added to the maps sheets also customizable. she has called them thousand and one places and they focus, rather than on a specific site, on the figures that represent it.
HOW TO GET ONE OF THESE MAPS
Me Studio maps, which can be in size A4, A3, 30x40, 50x50 or 50x70 centimeters, They're available from 47 euros. “Then depending on what they want to add, some extra figure…, she will vary the budget”.

As for the information that Mireia usually needs to get to work, it would be a capture of the place that she wants to capture so that she can later fit it in real size and that it be as exact as possible, main title, secondary text (optional), choose one of the predetermined color palettes or tell you the exact colors to use; if you want to add bookmark or not and direction (includes initial price and is optional); and if they love each other additional figures: name and photos (if possible from the front), if it is not a known building.
She is also open to talking about specific ideas, out of the ordinary, to assess whether it is possible to carry them out. “Once they tell me the whole idea they have in mind, I give them the budget and we close to put the work on the agenda”.
