Its cosmopolitan atmosphere, a multilingual population, good schools, quality public transport, its natural environment and being the headquarters of renowned companies and institutions are some of the reasons that make Lausanne one of the best cities to live in world. Now, the bet is raised even more thanks to the creation of Plateforme 10, the new artistic district in the center of the city that will join, in 25 square kilometers, the Musée cantonal des Beaux-arts (fine arts), the Musée de l' Élysée (photography) and the mudac (design).
"Plateforme 10's mission is to arouse and amplify the curiosity of all audiences by offering them a space for discovery, discussion, learning, experimentation and wonder, but also leisure and contemplation ", affirm its promoters. Thus, the area will become "a welcoming place to live and open to all audiences" located very close to the Lausanne train station, hence its name.
The rehabilitation of the arcades, the development of a mobility route embellished with a educational botanical trail , and the opening of several stores hostelry , supported by the three museums that already exist in the area, will be some of the actions that will help develop the project, which will be ready in september 2022.

THREE MUSEUMS; THREE UNMISSSIBLE VISITS
The trio of exhibition centers that make up the ends of Plateforme 10 are worth a visit in and of themselves. The Cantonal Museum of Beaux-arts (MCBA), inaugurated in 2019, aims to be an open place, a forum that encourages exchanges between visitors, artists and the institution.
In addition to the permanent presentation of the collection, the MCBA offers close to ten temporary exhibitions a year , thematic or monographic: ancient and modern art, international contemporary art and local emerging scene. In addition, it houses the foundations Toms Pauli and Felix Vallotton.
The Musée de l'Élysée , meanwhile, is one of the most important museums dedicated entirely to the Photography . Through his innovative exhibitions, his reference publications and his events, he questions the foundations of the discipline and makes it known to a wide public. Soon will open a new building.
A district full of art and life

To celebrate the inauguration, the three museums in the area will carry out their first joint activity , programming exhibitions related to the world of train from the perspectives of fine art, design and photography.
