Included in the successful hospitality group FOODCLUB, the next day March 8, 2019 , will take place the official inauguration of CLUBHAUS _(Avinguda del Marquès de l'Argentera, 13) _, located in an impressive 19th century building (first floor and basement) and in the heart of Barcelona's historic Born district.
What will we find on those two floors? The restaurants, three bars, a karaoke room, a games area, lighting details –some of them sponsored by the magazine VICE –, a mini golf in some of the toilets and a semi-secret room for Members-only , which in addition to being exclusive for friends and creative souls will present all kinds of activities, DJs, live music and original events, recreating a fun atmosphere for stimulate co-creation.

WHAT YOU HAVE NEVER TOLD YOU BEFORE
After visiting the entire site several times –before and after its construction–, we interviewed one of the main culprits of its creation, Alberto Mateos , Mexican musician, former rock singer and passionate about art:
“For us, CLUBHAUS is a place of union where we seek the expression of pleasure in all its splendor . Essentially, we wanted everything that can seduce us to be here: food, art, music... and all together and mixed for stimulate the senses and make sure people have a great time”.
“The concept of our house is inspired by the Member-clubs and Gentlemen Clubs of London, for example, which once represented places and communities full of people with Common things and that they basically wanted to share time together," adds Mateos.
“CLUBHAUS is divided into three pillars that are FOOD, ART and PLAY and it is also divided into three rooms that are SHOWROOM, JUNGLE ROOM Y GALAXY ROOM . Because of, or thanks to these three elements that we find in different places, we see the triangle in many of the areas of the project, advertising and logo that we ourselves wanted to design, since while we were creating the idea we found the number three constantly ”.

YOU NEVER COME HOME TO EAT ANYMORE
In addition, we have been able to speak with Joel Serra , a chef who, since he arrived in Spain, has not stopped breaking rules inside and outside the kitchen. Guilty and co-founder of this project, he will be the one with his hands in the dough (literally):
“My life has been a fusion of cultures, experiences and flavors. As head of the kitchen at CLUBHAUS, what I now intend to do is, instead of replicating the dishes that I have tasted around the world, merge those memories and create a new and surprising menu with strong flavors . We have called this gastronomic concept real fucking food . We love Street Food and that is why the SHOWROOM menu is inspired by the streets, mixing the Asian and Mexican influence in balanced but also explosive dishes”.
What will we find in the letter? "Although these are dishes that come out of the kitchen very quickly, there is a lot of work behind them and all elaborations are made in house : bases, sauces, milk, syrups... We do everything at home. Finally, note that almost all the dishes on this first menu are gluten-free (gluten free) and collaborating with Giuseppe , the operating chef of CLUBHAUS who is celiac , we have managed to make the letter finally become 100% gluten free ”.

“On the second floor we have THE JUNGLE ROOM. In this room/restaurant we will offer a dirtier menu plus Rock & Roll where there is mainly Burgers, Sausages, Chicken Wings, and Authentic American Food but of high quality; and always based on organic meat and from a local farm . We have also put a lot of care and love into finding the perfect bread for our burgers and sandwiches , accompaniments and homemade sauces such as Jack Daniels ketchup, Wasabi mayonnaise (…) among many other surprises", continues Joel.
"And finally we have not wanted to forget to add vegan options for non-meat eaters , but they don't want to give up a good hamburger. That is why we will have the famous Beyond Burger (100% hamburger plant-based made of vegetable protein), which mimics meat in color, texture and although it may seem incredible, flavor", concludes the chef.
CLUBHAUS, ROOM BY ROOM
Located on the first floor, SHOWROOM is the room where FOOD and ART will be exploited the most, since apart from enjoying the food we will find gallery, exhibits and art pieces constantly greeting diners , as is the case with the zeppelin hanging from the ceiling.
This one is inspired by the album cover photo of the mythical rock band Led Zeppelin . In turn, the band was inspired by the image of the German zeppelin LZ 129 Hindenburg destroyed by fire when landing in New Jersey on May 6, 1937, which caused the death of 36 people.
In the area of breakfast , you will find the stands that will function as a co-working area and free Wi-Fi to be able to work, among others artistic details that we leave for yourselves to discover when you go.

But, obviously, not everything is going to be work: you will find a billiards to play -which in turn becomes table to share-. And yes, here the art does not stop: there will constantly be works of local artists to those who will help sell their art (giving 80% of what is generated to the artist and the remaining 20%, donating it to Oceanic Initiatives, to help clean the beaches of Barcelona and the world).
In addition, CLUBHAUS works with the premise of promoting low plastic (little plastic), and for that have removed plastic from almost all structures that have , added to the Healthy letter that Joel has previously explained to us.
If we continue to the ground floor, we reach the living room JUNGLE ROOM where the unlimited fun begins. Open from 7:00 p.m. , this area takes the traditional game room to a new level. Here we will enjoy from a miniature golf in the bathrooms, karaoke room, ping pong, arcade games (arcade machines) pinball and a lot music.
Finally, we come to GALAXY ROOM , this room is intended for members only and is the most exclusive area where it will be necessary to become a member in order to enter. They promise that many things will happen there, art of all kinds, lots of music and many special events (masterclasses, workshops and afterworks, movie nights and display of new performing arts), which will be shared only with the community of members.

TIP FOR FUTURE GALAXY MEMBERS
To become a member and have access to the exclusive areas of the GALAXY ROOM, from the opening and for a limited time, you will have to enter the CLUBHAUS application, become a friend and by doing so you will receive the Members Card by **online mail. for Members) **.
After that initial period, you can only become a member or enter the reserved areas at the invitation of someone who is already a member, or also for assiduity and affinity with the concept.
