Although many activities that were planned to be held with the public or in closed spaces have been suspended, the Magical Autumn maintains the backbone of this festival that encompasses the municipalities of Abbey, Aldeanueva del Camino, Baños de Montemayor, Casas del Monte, La Garganta, Choker, Hervás and Segura de Toro.
Fairies, Elves and Gnomes They wait for us in the woods oak and chestnut trees, hidden in fairytale walks . Whether we go by bike, on foot or on horseback, they await our passage hidden in the undergrowth, only sticking out their tiny heads. There are 10 active routes , arranged to be traveled until December 8 . Any of them becomes a unique experience as we discover treasures in the form of landscapes, smells, sounds or colors. These routes are complemented by the geocaching , a kind of Pokemon Go in the middle of the valley, and the passport , the tool that will allow us to save our own route to show off in front of friends and family.

Route of the Basket Makers in Baños de Montemayor
Let's open mouth with a easy route but very entertaining and educational . The proposal is quite curious: learn about the ancient trade of basketry, traditional in these valleys, in the middle of the beautiful autumn landscape of Ambroz. Along the way, it is told how the baskets were made with chestnut wood, where it was collected and how it was handled. The route leaves the Tourist Office of Baños de Montemayor and crosses the Cuesta del Cerezo, the Vía Verde (through a long tunnel) and the Camino de Santa Ana . On the route, the section that runs along one of the best preserved sections of the Vía Romana de la Plata stands out. It is of medium/low difficulty and covers a distance of 6.2 kilometres, starting and finishing in Baños de Montemayor.

Hondonero, Twisted, del Arroyo, Bronco and Menuero , are the five chestnut trees with ages between 500 and 800 years that can be venerated when traveling the path that begins in bull safe .
