** New York never rests **. Not a single day. And it is not strange at all that the creatives that inhabit it, architects, designers and artists , are constantly outlining ideas to renew the city and, thus, convert the Big Apple , in the city of the future.
Thus, in late December, a plan was unveiled to **modernize the urban landscape and infrastructure of central Brooklyn**. This new urban planning aims to pedestrianize many of the downtown streets of the neighborhood.
The initiative is part of Downtown Brooklyn Partnership , a non-profit organization, which has partnered with two well-known architecture firms to develop the project: Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG Architects) and WXY architecture (WXY).

Today, this area of Brooklyn faces numerous challenges: traffic on some streets, no traffic on others , lack of paths dedicated to the circulation of bicycles... and the most notable: absence of green spaces where citizens can wander and disconnect from the asphalt.

Also, green infrastructure, trees and plants, will double , aiming to create a pleasant microclimate and thus seek minimize urban heat of the island.
The Project will be implemented in an area of 97 hectares, between the Court Street and Flatbush Avenue in the eastern section, and between Tillary and Atlantic Avenue in a northerly direction.
