Love in the times of covid: What to do when you want to enjoy a romantic date a few centimeters from your partner but keeping the already daily safety distance? In the Swiss region of Arosa they are clear: a candlelit picnic float in the middle of Lake Obersee. All washed down with local wine and enlivened with music.
The plan is part of the initiative Nights to remember, by Arosa Tourism , which together with the spectacular Tschuggen Grand Hotel , has organized these idyllic evenings during the months of August and September.
The experience is so exclusive that only a lucky few will be able to enjoy it, because there are 50 tables up for auction! and the money collected will go to the Arosa Ecological Fund.

A floating picnic on the Swiss Lake Obersee
A FLOATING PICNIC BY CANDLELIGHT
Lake Obersee, located in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, It is the setting chosen to carry out the Nights to Remember initiative: a lake full of emotions.
Here, guests who win one of the 50 tables can enjoy one of the most romantic dates of their lives: a dinner on a floating platform where no detail is lacking –candles, music and a picnic blanket included.
In the 9 square meter raft you will find a basket with delicious delicacies and local wines surrounded by the beautiful surroundings offered by the alpine landscape of Switzerland.

HOW TO TAKE PART?
The evening will start at 5:00 p.m. –you will have to choose a picnic basket through an online form beforehand–, when guests board the water taxis that take them to their platform on Lake Obersee.
at 7:00 p.m. A live reading of Arosa will be held in 100 stories at Lake Obersee to then start dinner.
The auction starts with a minimum bid of CHF 300 per table (about 280 euros) and includes the rental of the raft and the picnic for two adults and you can make your offer up to 14 days before the event here.
