Yoga Gourmet Club arrives from the hand of the Madrilenian Cayetana Rodenas , trained in Hatha, ashtanga Yoga and Yoga for children between Australia, the United States and Spain. She is a pioneer in the training of instructors specialized in young people from 13 to 18 years old, she is also creator of Yoga And Kids World.

Cayetana is a strong defender of the need to impart yoga in schools . “I am sure that the world would be different if we had learned all these techniques to get to know each other better, and so on. contribute individually to this society in a positive way that adds . If I am well, I transmit that state around me and that has an enormous contagious power”, she affirms.

In line with these statements, the instructor tells us that for her the yoga has supposed a quite important evolution in his body, mind and above all, in his way of understanding and accepting life. “Apart from the great physical exercise that it entails, helps you stay in touch with yourself , to understand yourself better, to relax, to calm down in difficult moments and to be more empathic with other people or situations.”

Cayetana wants to show that enjoying gastronomy and taking care of our mind and body are not incompatible activities.

The key to this 360-degree well-being lies in control of postures, breathing and concentration in our practice, through which "we are achieving a balance between our body, emotions and thoughts , which help us to be at peace with ourselves”.

Now Cayetana wants to join all this too the enjoyment of local gastronomy , so that we can "enjoy a round experience, combining wellness and personal growth with the pleasures that good eating brings us”.

With this new approach she wants like this introduce yoga into other types of activities and lifestyles , so that each one of us finds what he or she needs, in a way that is more 'accessible' to the Western world, since she considers “that It is very complicated to be able to consider all of Eastern philosophy and spiritual that classical yoga requires.

Yoga Gourmet Club also raises the need to stop looking inward, from the table, dedicating the time it deserves. “Time has become a succession of activities one after another, without giving us the opportunity to stop, observe, breathe, connect , enjoy it. It seems that if we don't go running everywhere or do many things in one day, we are wasting time.

Yoga Gourmet Club is obviously about yoga, but also about the local gastronomy.

Boutique hotels, restaurants, farms and monumental buildings are some of the venues chosen to start this new project, which will have different durations, from half day to week.

“It is aimed at all kinds of audiences and not just 'yogis'. Precisely, what I would like is to be able to bring yoga closer to other types of people who do not practice it or do not like it because of the spiritual connotations it may have”, remarks Cayetana.

It also specifies that " yoga is suitable for everyone who wants to carry out a physical activity that goes beyond the body and invites us to delve into our thoughts and emotions, thus achieving self-knowledge and a state of calm that helps us in our day to day.”

Likewise, she insists that the practice of this discipline does not involve a specific eating style, “ You don't have to be vegan to practice yoga! ”-she says between laughs-. In fact, the menus of this experience contemplate from a grilled entrecote to salads, going through a chickpea stew or a good pasta . The common denominator will be the use of local products, fresh, market and seasonal.

“Sometimes we become obsessed with drinking two liters of water a day or eating five items of fruit and vegetables a day, when in the end the most important thing is to follow a diet according to what our body needs ”, concludes Cayetana.
