There are so many references to its history and literature or to its artistic heritage that prejudice overcomes us and we resist thinking that there are also modern spaces with an interesting design.
One of them is Sweet Alchemy , the store of Stelios Parliaros , one of the best-known Greek chefs specializing in pastry, who has written numerous cookbooks and hosts a TV show about sweets. The premises, designed by the architecture studio Kois Associated Architects, are located in Kiphisia , a district north of Athens.
The materials used are cement, iron, bronze, copper and natural wood. The high ceilings, the dim light that enters from the facade and the interior patio, the coldness of the environment, everything serves so that the sweets stand out with their bright colors and capricious forms.

Parliaros, as if he were an alchemist, has managed to endow his creations with a halo of mystery through an interior design that focuses on a play of light and shadow with the aim of creating an almost mystical effect on the visitor.
