When can we travel to the Caribbean?
We still don't know if we will be able to travel outside of Spain this summer, but we do know some of the measures that the Caribbean countries will impose on their visitors . If you are thinking of traveling to paradise, it is important that you know them.
MEXICO
Mexico's economy depends on tourism, it is the second most important contribution to GDP, 8.7%. Therefore, recovering normality, especially in the most touristic areas, is one of its primary objectives. Mexico has so far registered more than 90,600 confirmed cases , which is why the reopening will be gradual, and especially focusing on domestic tourism.
Each state will open its doors as the virus is controlled, but they will focus on the national visitor , as stated by Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico.
According to a study by the Anauac University School of Tourism ‘ How tourists will change in Mexico, after COVID-19 ’, the tourist will not be willing to travel more than 4 hours by plane. In the state of** Quintana Roo,** the Mexican Caribbean, where around 1,800 deaths have been recorded, they are preparing for a gradual reopening of their doors from June 8.
THE BAHAMAS
On May 28, the Prime Minister, Dr. Hubert Minnis, announced the next measures for the reactivation of tourism in this paradise. According to the Ministry of Tourism the reopening will be for next July 1 for international flights and for major hotels, until then international tourism is prohibited. American Airlines will operate in Nassau and Exuma starting July 7 , although everything will depend on the sanitary conditions.

PUERTO RICO
When can you visit Puerto Rico? According to the latest information issued by the country's Ministry of Tourism, no person will be able to enter without having passed 15 days of quarantine . These are the measures they propose for foreign travelers.
OLD AND BEARDED
As of June 1, the doors of the island will be opened to national and international tourists . At first, the government raised the idea that visitors quarantine for 15 days, but seeing that most stays are for a week, they did not see it as viable.
Right now visitors will have to present a certificate confirming they are negative in Covid-19 in the last 48 hours. If not, they must quarantine at their hotel or pay to take a test. Here are all the entry conditions.
**ARUBA**
The happiest island in the Caribbean will allow entry to international tourism from June 15 . “On May 8, the Government of Aruba announced a tentative reopening of the borders for incoming travel. As of now, it is scheduled for June 15 and July 1, 2020. The aforementioned reopening target date is subject to change, as we may consider additional precautionary measures as necessary. Tourism.
ST. LUCIA
