Spain will open to international tourism in summer.
There will be tourist season this summer . This was announced at a press conference by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez. At noon he announced that Spain will open its doors to international tourism in July : “We will guarantee that tourists will not take any risk and will not bring us any risk. There is no contradiction between health and business. Spanish tourism will now have two new stamps: environmental sustainability and health safety".
And he added on security issues: "The Government of Spain has been preparing protocols for the tourism sector and hotelier in terms of the security that we have to provide in the health field”.
He also wanted to point out the fundamental weight of the hotel and tourism industry in the Spanish economy, as well as the "enormous international prestige".
Pedro Sánchez has called on the hospitality sector to resume its activities for the summer. Although he has not indicated a specific date in the calendar, he has indicated July and he has commented that in the next few days it will be the responsible ministers who will specify with the communities all the issues related to tourism.
On the other hand, he has encouraged Spaniards to plan their vacations, ** since from June 22 national tourism will open, ** yes, depending on the phases of each CCAA. “In July there may be a summer program and I encourage this summer to take advantage of the great advantages that our country has in terms of tourism.
