Manoir des Brumes

Can you imagine a working day here?

Within an hour of Paris Companies from all over the world compete to be able to spend time with their staffs, employees and directors of inspiration and motivation, and even more so if it is in the Moulin, Manoir and Domain , of the ** Moulin de la Forge ** Group, respectfully renovated, with all the beauty of its monumental past and the avant-garde dimension of contemporary design.

“Reset” , get mentally ready for the common goal of a company, "Rest is also work", "the more the staff has relaxed, the more they give up"... These are the usual ideas that haunt the heads of businessmen, managers and departments of human resources from all over the world when they decide to stop and go to one of these three privileged places.

The objective is achieve the proposed objectives , excuse the redundancy, in an endless cycle, and, if possible, go further, always exceed expectations, the constant challenge . Productivity without rest, was the watchword until now, but a new wave accompanies the mission and vision of companies, whether they are start-ups or global multinationals, serenity and good work, as a premise.

Profiles that ooze are in demand honesty, transparency and awareness . Natural leaders, not imposed, the exaltation of talent and positive and proactive attitude above other positions, the aggressive executive has passed away.

And to unleash creativity, establish new strategies or share experiences, you have to leave the control zone, the company, and if it is in the surroundings of Paris , better.

And sleep here, surrounded by wood and nature?

** Moulin de la Forge **, Manoir des Brumes , ** Domaine de Rebetz **, three historic spaces, in the middle of nature, one hour from Paris, whose hosts receive their guests”, with all the detail and care of the five star hotels and with all the predictable monastic rigor in a place to concentrate and develop a spirit of improvement or updating of knowledge and learning.

“Here you come to work…” in seminars, creative meetings, brainstorming sessions, Design Thinking … developed by companies around the world with their management teams, those responsible for innovation or transformation or marketing.

Patrice and Marie-Joe with their children, Founders of the Moulin de la Forge Group , decided to carry out the project because that is how they dreamed of it in their professional career, they found “ privileged locations where ideas can flourish, in the middle of nature . And we convert them into spaces to work and relax at the same time, introducing at all times a close treatment, attention to detail and healthy, local and seasonal gastronomy”.

And the design as background of the whole project, the design of experiences and all possible inspirational moments. Interior design to generate concentration, serenity or the opposite, a greater mental revolution of ideas.

The objective was, on the one hand, to safeguard and protect all the history and the flavor of the past, and on the other, to provide all the spaces involved with new facilities, technological connections and an advanced design of gyms, swimming pools and play and recreation areas.

Domain de Rebetz is a castle dating from the 12th century , in the middle of a preserved natural area. The golf course is in an exceptional location, with a course based on traditional Anglo-Saxon schemes.

Moulin de la Forge, a 16th-century mill with an extensive organic garden , a lake on which a spectacular working cabin has been built, designed by the French architect Bernard Desmoulin, around the forest full of deer.

Manoir des Brumes , with more than a thousand years of history, it is an old property of the Templars , an austere and monastic place perfect for introspection. Everything is bathed in epte river within five hectares of park where you can get lost.

David Leonard , the art and design director of the three projects, tells us what his point of view has been when facing this duality: the reflection of tradition and the avant-garde.

“We have created a homogeneous image, consistent with the environment. Is about moving away from conventional workspace schemes through authenticity , with natural materials such as wood, iron and stone from the environment".

And he continues: "It has been a truly collaborative work with the owner family, a matter of common sensitivity based on absolute respect for the historical character of the place and the search for new contemporary approaches that praise the landscape and the experiences that take place indoors.
