We have headed to the Barcelona district of Sant Marti , the place chosen by Manolo Bakes for his particular landing in Normandy, manolito in hand . we stop at Glories , under the watchful eye of the Agbar Tower , and we enter the shopping center of the neighborhood since it is here that this January 15 opens the first Manolo Bakes store in Barcelona.
It has its own workshop, some one hundred square meters of store and a wonderful terrace to enjoy your attack of gluttony outdoors.
We spoke with Pablo Nuño, CEO of Manolo Bakes (together with Ángel Terrés), very enthusiastic about the opening. “We always believed in the quality of our offer. That, together with the hard work of the entire team, has resulted in a unprecedented success that makes us proud and motivates us to continue down this path”, starts the businessman.
Manolitos to share
Nuño tells us that they opened their first store in Madrid in june 2018 and they began to grow. They always thought they would love to open in Barcelona. “We saw it as a half distant dream. Who was going to tell us that it was going to be fulfilled so soon? All our openings are treated with special care and in this case we have been working closely with local staff to ensure that everything we do maintains our brand essence , but fits with the idiosyncrasy of the city . We will be evaluating the acceptance of our offer to adapt it to local preferences if necessary, but we trust that what we bring will be liked, ”he assures.
The Glòries premises maintain the essence of all the others, modern but cozy furniture, colours, music and atmosphere , with lots of natural light Y space both to have a drink quietly and to go for a takeaway order.
