DAY ONE

10:00 a.m. A walk through the traboules (passageways in Spanish) is a must and with capital letters for those who want to know lyons and one of its most characteristic architectural elements. These old passageways, which today can only be crossed on foot, cross inner courtyards connecting streets without having to go outside. The traboules , whose etymology comes from the Latin trans-ambulare (to pass through), were used by the French Resistance during World War II to escape from the Nazis. Most of those that can be visited are in the Old Lyon , medieval and Renaissance quarter of this French city, although they can also be seen in the P resqu’île and on the Croix-Rousse . One piece of advice, the neighbors are very bothered by the noise of the tourists, so the best way to admire them is it is silent.

12:30 p.m. If you are in Lyon it is acceptable to give you a gastronomic tribute . You are in the mecca of nouvelle cuisine, in the land of Paul Bocuse , so you have no excuses to visit a bouchon , name that receives the typical restaurant of the city, to put you like the Moñoños made of wine, cheese, and some local specialties such as quenelles, croquettes of bread and dip pasta, or andouillettes, French-style sausages. One of the places that will not disappoint you is Le Bouchon des Cordeliers, located in the second district (or arrondissement in French). Here you are going to enjoy the most typical specialties of the city at a moderate price since there are menus between 20 and 30 euros.

4:30 p.m. After lunch we will visit one of the most fashionable shops in Lyon. This is LafabriQ, a workshop-boutique led by five female creators ( Anne-Lise and Noémie Pichon, Julia Riffiod, Laurène Vernet and Pascaline Delamarche ) where jewelry, accessories, paintings and decorative objects are sold. On Saturdays, they also hold workshops where the participants can make a piece.

6:30 p.m. As we have eaten quite early, dinner will not be long. And since we want to sit down at the table a little hungry, we are going to walk up to the fourviere hill which can also be accessed by funicular and from where you can enjoy magnificent views of Lyon. Here is the ** Hôtel de Fourvière **, located in a former convent, which since this year has a new restaurant, Les Telephones, a bistronomic proposal where you can dine with views of the cloister garden. Here the prices to eat are much higher since they are around 65 euros per person. Do not complain, we are talking about Lyon.

9:00 p.m. To sleep on Saturday night I am going to give you two options. The first is staying at the aforementioned Hôtel de Fourvière , a fairly luxurious hotel opened in 2015 with 75 rooms dedicated to important figures in the city's history. The second option, much cheaper, is the ** Citadines Presqu´île Lyon **, located in the neighborhood of the Presqu’île , where some of its best-known monuments and places are located, such as the City Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts and the famous Bartholdi fountain.

DAY TWO

10:00 a.m. The next morning and after a hearty breakfast We recommend a cultureta visit, like that, like someone who doesn't want the thing. Starting on March 9, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon, where wonderful temporary exhibitions can be seen, opens its doors again with a retrospective dedicated to the Japanese artist Yoko Ono . The exhibition YOKO ONO Lumière de L'aube , which sets foot on French lands for the first time, can be visited until the next July 10, 2016.

12:30 p.m. Art whets the appetite or at least it seems so to me. A highly recommended place to eat in Lyon is Le Bistrot du Potager , located near the neighborhood of Brotteaux, in the sixth district. As in most restaurants in Lyon, it is highly recommended that you make a reservation and make sure if they are open or not because some of them are not open every day.

5:30 p.m. As you are good children, colleagues or friends, among the large number of family relationships and for having, we recommend that you buy some cheeses to take to your acquaintances, especially if they have the courtesy to come and pick you up to the airport or train station ( Barcelona-Lyon five hours with RENFE-SNCF in Cooperation ) . One of the places where you will immerse yourself in the aromas of local cheeses is La Crèmerie de Charlie , in the second district of Lyon, a business in which those who are passionate about fromage are going to go crazy.

7:00 p.m. . Last supper in Lyon. After putting you like crazy during these days I don't feel good recommending another restaurant where you can eat until you drop. But yes, it can be good for you to have a drink to wash down everything you have swallowed. **One of the bars that is becoming fashionable is the 12.2 Bar Lounge, located in the Mercure Château Perrache hotel **, located in an Art Nouveau building in the center of Lyon.

P.S. Before you go home I remind you that this year you have another great reason to visit Lyon since it is one of the venues of the European Football Championship 2016 . For this, the new Grand Stade des Lumieres, a vast multifunctional complex that is open to the public, and which will also host concerts and other events.
