Church of Madonna of San Biagio in Montepulciano
The well-known Italian commune of Montepulciano, with a long winemaking tradition, has a beautiful Piazza Grande , with a mixture of Gothic and Renaissance architectural styles. It is also worth leaving the city and going down to the foot of the hill on which it is located. From there you can admire the most emblematic of all the creations ever erected in Montepulciano, with the unmistakable stamp of Antonio Sangallo, the Veccio. It's about a temple dedicated to San Biagio, for which the architect reserved the richest travertine marble. The investment, of course, was worth it.
