FROM SANT ANTONI DE PORTMANY TO SA GALERA BEACH (IBIZA)

This road runs through the northwestern part of the island of Ibiza, and it begins in the second most important town on the island and a very important tourist center: Sant Antoni de Portmany. The area had Punic, Roman and Arab settlements, and was the capital of a quarter in the 13th century. However, its splendid bay, with coves fresh from a dream, alone justifies the visit.

Our tour begins this time in Cala d'en Bou, and continues bordering the entire bay of Sant Antoni to the port. From Caló the Moor, begins a well-defined path that leads us to Cap Blanc, where we will find that a cave houses a small aquarium for educational purposes.

The path follows the coast to Cala Gracio, and from here it comes to Cap Negret. You will not be able to avoid stopping to contemplate the wonderful views from the viewpoint! The route ends in the beautiful Sa Galera beach , where we can relax before making our way back to Cala d'en Bou.

The route doubles the point and continues along Ses Illetes , the most famous beach in Formentera (and the best in Spain in 2017, according to Traveler readers) thanks to its calm turquoise waters and characteristic white sand, until you reach the Estany des Peix, a small natural lagoon open to the sea.
