Really committed, not lip service because it has become fashionable to be sustainable. Every detail counts and the improvements they introduce are designed so that their footprint in the environment is less and less.

“We decided to make only hand stamps, as they are much more durable. Our stamps, unlike the automatic ones that are made of plastic, are made of beech wood, a tree that is mainly found in the north of Spain and that reproduces quite easily”, explains Julia to Traveler.es.

Also, they just added ecological rubber some of them (Selloa Original), which gives them a useful life of about 10,000 uses; its wrappers are reusable and recyclable; their seals return to earth in the form of a seed from which new trees will grow and They donate part of the benefits of each purchase to collaborate with reforestation.

In seala three types of seals work: the aforementioned Original Stamp, a mixture of wooden handle and ecological rubber that make it perfect for leaving a mark on paper or fabric; the Seal Mud, that changes rubber for derlin to mark on ceramic thanks to its greater depth; and the seal sealing wax, in which the design is engraved in brass to seal on wax.

And all this personalized to suit the consumer, since It is the client who chooses the type of stamp, of course the design of what will be engraved on it, and the shape and size that they want. After making the payment on the web, send the information by email ([email protected]) and in several days you will receive the stamp, with that feeling of have something unique in your hands and recover the pleasure of small moments.

“We spend time on every product we make. We start by working on the client's design and adapting it to the real possibilities of a stamp for be able to engrave line by line on the rubber. Subsequently, the wood is worked to give it the necessary measure and is assembled manually. Machines will evolve, but hands will always be required to make our stamps”, sums up Julia.

All this work is carried out in Selloa's own engraving workshop. “This means having control of the entire process to offer the best quality. Our intention with Selloa is to create a brand that protect the tradition of engraving, with an artisanal and local manufacture in which time is dedicated to each product, ”she explains to Traveler.es.

Prices range between 20 and 50 euros. “It could be more because we do fully custom stamps and that means we do whatever size you need and the bigger the more expensive.”

Julia says, who is now more in charge of the user service part to make the client almost feel that she is in the workshop personalizing her stamp, which is really she sees herself in a few years taking over from her father so that this curious and lifelong work is not lost.

“The general thought is that quantity matters more than quality; but individual thought is not that because people appreciate and congratulate us for the work, people value that little detail a lot”, she ponders her.

She equates the moment of sealing with that of a small pleasure, like savoring a coffee or a mindfulness exercise that disconnects you from the world and concentrates you on doing something that you not only enjoy, but that has also been made solely and exclusively for you.
