Spain will have 25 fewer blue flag beaches in 2019

The community that has done its homework the best has been the Valencian Community which, with three new blue flag beaches, has become the one experiencing the greatest rise and the one with It has more beaches with this distinction (135) .

At the opposite extreme, Andalusia would be found, which, although it retains 79 beaches with a blue flag, are 18 less than last year , the one who loses the most. Even so, it is the fourth autonomous community with the highest number of distinctions, only surpassed by the aforementioned Valencian Community, Galicia (107) and Catalonia (97).

This general decrease does not prevent the occurrence of new additions to the list. Among the beaches that this 2019 release a blue flag are marines , in Nules (Castellón); L'Espigo, in Altea (Alicante); Galapagos and San Lorenzo , in the Autonomous City of Melilla ; S'Amarador, in Santanyí (Majorca); Cave, in San Sebastian de la Gomera; and La Dehesa, in Cheles (Badajoz).
