What are the most popular trails in Europe? From Traveler.es we have told you about the great routes of the continent, also about the best routes to get to know the coast of Spain and those in which the wanderlust spirit is activated in Europe, but now we want to tell you which are the ones that enjoy the most prominence in Instagram.
The OnBuy Treadmills company team has selected 21 highly followed trails on the social network, and has done so by following data from various sources: Tripadvisor, National Trust and Amazing Iceland. From all the data collected, a list with 40 trails was made and individually their network monitoring was reviewed.
“For accuracy, OnBuy Treadmills took the top five highest scoring hashtags to determine a total, providing the most accurate representation of an area.” The ranking was made on April 20 and these were the results.

THE ITALIAN AND SPANISH TRAILS ARE THE FAVORITES
Italy leads the ranking of the most popular trails in Europe, according to data from OnBuy Treadmill. I felt Azzurro, that covers part of Cinque Terre National Park of UNESCO, straddling cliffs and bushes before descending into the ocean, is the first of all to appear. This extraordinary route has 2.5 million hashtags. Without a doubt, its views make it one of the favorites.
The second most famous walk is our Camino de Santiago, which with its 767km is the best known historical pilgrimage route in Spain and the whole world. "With 2,210,441 hashtags on Instagram, this walk offers views of the beautiful Spanish countryside and the Bay of Biscay, which surely guarantees its position as one of the most beautiful walks in Europe to visit!"
In third place, Italy appears again with Tre Cime di Lavaredo with 483,400 hashtags. It is a steep walk that takes you to the amazing mountains Drei Zinnen , three rock formations protruding from the plateau. An incredible route for lovers of geographical contrasts.
From the data it can be concluded that, in general, the United Kingdom appears six times with the routes of Box Hill, Lodge Hill, and Juniper Hill Circular , with 184,864 hashtags scored. While Iceland , a favorite country for hikers, appears five times in the top 20 trails. This would be the ranking.
