"At Som Hotels we observe a trend to set up spaces reserved for women in various classes of exclusive services such as gyms, coworking centers... We saw that this trend was also implanted in the international tourism sector. All this made us consider the idea of open a hotel for women only , because we see how the future of tourism is heading towards specialization", the CEO of Som Dona, Joan Enric Capellà, tells Traveler.es.

So they did a market study, they saw that it was plausible and they decided to open Som Dona , the first hotel for women only in Spain , which will definitely open the June 1 in Porto Cristo , Manacor.
" Being the first in Spain adds extra pressure , because we know that we have many eyes on us. If we fail, probably all those people will be watching us to say "you could see it coming"; while if it is a success others will follow us. As usually happens with all those who are pioneers in something", adds Joan Enric.
