The Blue Flag is an annual award given by the European Foundation for Environmental Education to beaches that meet a series of environmental conditions and facilities and for some time now, it has become the symbol, more recognizable and recognized by the millions of users of beaches and ports.

The criteria for obtaining the Blue Flag are reviewed and agreed upon annually at the international level by the National Operators and are divided into four large blocks: environmental information and education, water quality, environmental management and safety and services.

This year, they have participated in Blue Flag more than 2,000 municipalities, in 45 countries on 5 continents, with Spain being the country that has achieved the most flags.
