Derek Low's Journey
Not that we want to tarnish the wonderfully erratic story of Kerouac and his On The Road ; It is not that we want to forget about the great jewels of road cinema (the adaptation of the book itself, Thelma & Louise, Easy Rider , Little Miss Sunshine...¿ cross roads of Britney Spears?) ... But not everyone likes to drive or get an avid driver to face the dangers of American asphalt.
There is also other means of transportation (if you don't know which one is yours, you can do this simple and fun test to check the one that suits you best) with as much charm as the train (yes, sometimes the word 'charm' when we talk about going on rails for hours can be a bit ironic).
Derek has done: he has crossed his country in four days being a spectator, from the window, of the mountains of Utah, the skyscrapers of Chicago and the American 'steppe' of Denver.

- From San Francisco to New York in four days
- First day: from San Francisco to Salt Lake City ( 17 hours )
- Second day: from Salt Lake City to Denver ( 15 hours )
- Third day: from Denver to Chicago ( 19 hours )
- Fourth day: from Chicago to New York ( 20 hours )
Of course, Derek emphasizes that to enjoy the trip even more (and be able to make the corresponding stops) you can extend your stay up to 15 days and travel, making the same route, for $429.

Of course, ** his Instagram shows ** that a trip of this type, express and being a spectator from a window, leaves you wanting more. So Derek went back to some of those places to make up for it in time. That good so necessary and so scarce.
