"Spain is a country with a great tradition in footwear, but it is not easy to find manufacturers that agree to work with companies that are just starting out and make small collections" , tell the creators of the brand Augusta The Brand. But they were lucky. "We have had the great fortune to find a team of wonderful people who have supported us and help us at every step", say Asturian women Paloma and Cristina, about how they found in Elda, Alicante, the workshop that would make their dreams come true.

"We have always been closely related to the world of fashion and we had been thinking about the idea of creating something of our own for several years. We come from a family of entrepreneurs, so we had always had the bug. Due to personal circumstances, last year we We realized that it was time to launch. If you have it clear, you have to go for it, "they explain.

And they went for it, forming a very balanced team and under a brand name that seeks to denote a lot of strength and personality. "Paloma has worked in fashion for years and is responsible for the creative part. While I studied engineering and am used to executing projects, so I am in charge of marking and managing times. Our heads work in very different ways. different at the end is the best way to complement each other", points out Cristina. Asturian by birth, they have been living in different cities around the world since they were 18 years old, "which we believe has given us the opportunity to have a broader vision of the events that happen in it to assess them more objectively."

They now live in Spain, but travel is still a fundamental part of their lifestyle. "Canggu in Bali is without a doubt our favorite place. If you go, you have to go to The Slow and Parachute for dinner; The Lawn and Old Mans for drinks; and Yoli & Otis or Rue Stiic for shopping. Seoul was another of our last trips and we fell in love. We recommend you go to Myeongdong Kyoja, a family restaurant with only four dishes on its menu. The queues are huge, but it's worth it," the two say about the getaways that have left the most mark on them lately.

While last year her fall collection put the spotlight on ankle boots, this has been the Mary Janes that have captured her attention , in three powerful and different colors that also complement each other when they are together. "We chose these because they are girly, young and super fresh. We think each one represents a different kind of girl."

And where does the inspiration for your collections come from? "From everywhere. We obviously follow the catwalks very closely, but currently the trends go much further than that. Traveling or strolling through any city in the world can be more inspiring than any parade. Instagram, Netflix, a book, a movie... nowadays we have so much information that anything can be the beginning of a great idea", they say from their home instead of Miami, where they had planned to travel during Easter. "We really wanted to go to the East Hotel in Brickell and the spa at The Standard Hotel. And also to have a great time on Calle 8, in Little Havana. I'm sure we'll be able to come back soon!", they say excitedly, knowing that soon they will return to new vacation paths in search of inspiration.
