It's time to take care of yourself to take care of us all

A MUSICAL BRUNCH TO START THE DAY WELL . We have become accustomed to seeing our favorite groups playing from their homes and, luckily, in theater format, sitting down, feeling, dancing with our feet and in our minds (and looking forward to when we can really dance on a dance floor without fear of social distance). Now him bule bule brunch It mixes two of the things that can make us happiest: having a 'tasty' breakfast at the weekend and live music. Thus, both on Saturdays and Sundays, its overwhelming brunch offer is completed with the musical performances of its cast of artists . (Enjoy it at c/Marqués de Valdeiglesias, 6, Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. and for 25 euros / person)

BACON AND FREUD . The Marlborough Gallery begins the year analyzing the human condition , through the creations of Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud . Bacon's history with Marlborough is curious since it was in this same Madrid gallery where the artist was going to present an exhibition that was cut short by his death... and that ended up being posthumous. Bacon spent his last days visiting El Prado, where he drank from Goya and Velázquez. Today the Marlborough gives him space again, the great space , to his works (including the famous triptych 'Second Version of Triptych 1944' , Crown jewel). Undulating, changing bodies, strong contrasts... and no explanation: Bacon did not want to explain his works, he wanted them to provoke emotions . And provoke them, in perfect harmony with Lucien Freud's etchings (between 2004 and 2007) in which we will find scenes of solitude, nudes, disturbing portraits of family and friends... recordings that are pure intimacy: "all unnecessary elements are eliminated from the scene to achieve a hypnotic attraction to the essential ; perhaps this is the reason why he has managed to achieve that degree of psychological intensity that surrounds his characters," reads the gallery's statement.

MAZO FESTIVAL . We have already been saying it: now, the music, he enjoys himself in a chair, keeping his distance, containing the emotion to dance it all later at home. And nothing happens: it is fair, it is necessary and it is responsible. the wake of the #SafeCulture He left us exciting prints this summer. And now he leaves them for us between the walls of halls and theaters They put all the necessary measures to create a safe environment. Thus, Mazo ("Mazo bolos, tú"), comes to take the artists out of their homes and put them in the deserved place: the stage. And to us, applauding in the corral, mask in mouth, happiness in chest. This weekend, Rata Negra on Thursday 21 at Independance Club at 8:00 p.m.). Follow in the footsteps of Mazo and sign up for his next concerts with Parquesvr, Origa, Blanco Palamera, Adrift...

MOTTAINAI 4R WORKSHOP. Motta what? Mottainai is a Japanese concept that refers to "a sense of regret at the inappropriate use of an object or resource." The 4Rs allude to words respect, recycle, reuse, reduce. And it is that in this workshop you will learn to create a tapestry on a frame using leftover fabric and wool dyed in the workshop with Aletheia botanical dyes.

Aletheia is a clothing brand made in Spain in an artisanal way, using only natural dyes. Recovering ancestral trades and bringing them to the contemporary world is one of their passions, which is why at their premises (Paseo de la Florida, 33) they organize workshops of all kinds, such as the one that takes place on Saturday, January 23.

In it, they will teach you the basic knots: the Turkish knot (carpet), chains, how to make intersections of masses of color or the Egyptian knot, Basic techniques that will facilitate the flow of our fingers creatively, feeling the naturalness that handling natural materials brings us and imagining new uses.

You can reserve (or gift) a place here.

MORE MUSIC. Madrid Brillante was born to show that music is still more alive than ever. The festival kicked off with a series of concerts at the Teatro La Latina and now the Teatro Reina Victoria is also joining this initiative with a most interesting program, betting on the talent and the safe culture.

This weekend we will be able to enjoy, at the Teatro La Latina, the performances of Tomasito (Saturday 23) and Ana TIjoux (Sunday 24) and at the Reina Victoria Theater will be Rigoberta Bandini (Saturday 23). The opening of doors in both spaces will be at 12 noon.
