His name is an icon; his story, an accumulation of successes and great moments; his legacy, a cave of wonders full of treasures. Victoria & Lucchino began their journey in the world of fashion more than three decades ago and since last Thursday, June 23, they have your own museum.

Its about Victorio & Lucchino Museum – Santa Clara, located in the old Convent of Santa Clara de River Palm (Cordova).

The 15th-century building has been recovered and converted into this great cultural project, which will house and display the magnificent creative legacy of Jose Victor Rodriguez Caro (Victory, born in Palma del Río) and Jose Luis Medina del Corral (Lucchino, born in Seville), the only active national designers with a museum dedicated to their work.

“A learning journey through the creative process of these two designers, a journey to the heart of their work” It is the common thread around which the entire permanent exhibition is articulated, which will show us “the magic of the creative process of Victorio & Lucchino, the origin of its inspiration, and the formalization through its collections of a unique and genuine aesthetic universe” , point from the Museum.

The expository discourse adopts a simple and attractive narration but at the same time, rigorous, introducing us to the entrails of the creation process, from the formalization of the idea to the final result: a unique garment.

That garment constitutes a journey that takes us from mind to form: “from the inner world of these exceptional designers to the three-dimensional expression of his creative world”, affirms the Museum team in an official statement.

The ultimate goal of the trip? “Value Spanish fashion art and contribute to the creation of an aesthetic identity capable of identifying ourselves as a territory” affirms the Museum team in an official statement.

2,000 WONDERS IN A TRUE SANCTUARY OF FASHION

The 3,000 square meters that make up the space will host a collection of 70 pieces of clothing that cover different stages of his entire creative career, form the permanent exhibition.

“It is these pieces that allow us to present a linear speech from beginning to end, while displaying the different contents always acting as visual references of the topics presented” , they affirm from the Museum.

THE ATELIER OF DREAMS

The route through the fascinating universe of Victorio & Lucchino begins at the ground floor of the museum , whose reception welcomes the visitor with a audiovisual production showing a historical journey through the Convent of the Poor Clare Franciscan Order, since its first stone was laid to the present, a section in which we are shown the process of rehabilitation and restoration of the building until it became Santa Clara Creative and Cultural Space.

Next, also on the ground floor, we find the first room, whose name, 'The workshop of dreams', It already anticipates something of what we are going to find: “a walk through the countryside, a trip, the light of a sunset, the joy of a party, the colors of nature, a few simple words... For Victorio & Lucchino everything begins with a magical moment of inspiration”.

The first stop of the trip takes us directly to the Creative Duo Atelier, a space inspired by the one they had in the House of Velazquez that stands out for its spectacular and dynamic scenery, where no detail is lacking.

ANDALUCIA, BRIDES AND THE FIRMAMENT

The rest of the experience takes place on the first floor, where we are greeted by the second stage of the tour: 'Joy of living: from Andalusia to the world'. Here, all the inspirations from the atelier of dreams become ideas and forms and are based on three fundamental pillars: “light, joy and colour”.

Twenty-two pieces illustrate some of the most iconic elements not only of the firm, but of all Spanish fashion: Alchemy of fabrics, genuine colours, dreamy shells, timeless lace, infinite ruffles, fringes of life...

The next room is 'Universal Brides' and is dedicated to the bridal collections of Victorio & Lucchino, highlighting the prêt-à-porter line that they presented at the Gaudí Catwalk in 1995, marking a turning point in the bridal universe.

Here we can see ten carefully selected designs and placed on a raised platform covered with mirrors.

The luminosity of the bridal world dims as we pass into the star room (where twenty-six iconic pieces await) and the room 'creative universe' , with pieces presented individually and surrounded by mirrors.
