Moulin Rouge celebrates its 130th anniversary with a show in Montmartre
130 years have passed since one of the most emblematic places of the parisian scene the curtain rises for the first time. We refer to the mythical and incomparable ** Moulin Rouge **, created by Mr Oller and Mr Zidler in 1889.
On October 6, it celebrates its one hundred and thirtieth anniversary with a light and sound show on its traditional facade; exclusive images will be projected there, inviting those present to travel through the history of cabaret , from the beginnings to the current show: Fairy.
Created by Doris Haug and Ruggero Angeletti , the venue's directors since 1961, the show has broken all records with 12 million viewers and two shows a day for every year since its inauguration at the end of the 19th century.

‘The Palace of Dance and Women’ ( as it used to be called back then) opened its doors at exactly 8 p.m. October 6, 1889 and, at present, it still preserves that mystery, boldness and elegance that so characterizes it.
managed to become the epicenter of the Parisian parties and celebrations of the 20th century , immortalized by the painter and lithographer Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec , famous for exhibiting his painting 'In Fernando's Circus: The Equestrienne' during the opening of the cabaret and for his french cancan , which is still today played by the Doriss girls.
Its decoration, with glimpses of the 'Belle Epoque' , designed by Henri Mahé in 1951, painted murals and original posters by the artists who perpetuated that mythical setting, opens its doors on October 6 to provide a wonderful and romantic evening to share with friends, family or partner.

THE CELEBRATION
For a total of ten minutes the sky of ** Paris ** will shine brighter than ever, thanks to a extravagant fireworks show , honoring the legendary cabaret and the parties that took place in Montmartre since your beginnings.
To create this unforgettable show, the Red windmill has collaborated with the company GL Events Audiovisual , a company that has designed major events, such as the Lyon Festival of Lights, the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival and the World Cup in Russia.
The ending will be unmissable and totally charming: the 60 artists that are part of the Molino Rojo will present themselves to the crowd with the famous french cancan under the legendary mill, the symbol of this corner of Paris who conquered the whole world night scene.
