Confinement in Madrid through the eyes of Ana Corrales Paredes

Two months ago, PHotoESPAÑA -the great festival of photography and audiovisual arts- launched the PHEdesdemibalcón contest, which invited us to immortalize with our camera the essence of confinement, pressing the fire button **from our balconies and windows. **

The result has been a great amalgamation of photographs posted on Instagram along with the hashtag #PHEdesdemibalcón , to be exact, a total of 63,000 images s among which ACCIONA and PHotoESPAÑA have chosen the ten winners.

To opt for the selected ones, the judge -made up of experts in photography, art, photojournalism and marketing- has taken into account both its visual impact and its ability to reflect the main changes and challenges that confinement has led to both individuals and society.

Madrid, Barcelona, Santander, Valencia and Logroño are some of the Spanish cities from where the winning photographs have been captured, that reflect so much everyday moments -a video call, children's games, new hygiene guidelines...- as well as raise issues such as the new relationship between people and nature, **solidarity with health, old age or urban horizons. **

The snapshots of the winners -Teresa Aquesolo, Javi Burguiño, Carma Casula, Ana Corrales Paredes, Sara Gómez Cortijo, Aldair Mejia, Eduardo Nave, Énkar Neil, Maria Puga Sánchez and Eduardo Rivas Muñoz- , who will receive a prize endowed with 500 euros, will be disseminated through the web pages and social networks of the organizing institutions of the initiative.
