The giant lizard of El Hierro.
In El Hierro, at the Giant Lizard Recovery Center, the controlled reproduction of a subspecies of the extinct . The specimens that live in the center are later released in the environments where they found remains of these reptiles with a robust body and a blackish brown color of about 60 centimeters. Just a few meters further on, we find a anthropological treasure that reveals to us the secrets of the bimbache's bedroom: the town of guinea , the oldest in the municipality of Border . Today converted into an open-air museum, the last family left the settlement in the 50s of the last century. The set of buildings from the 17th to the 20th century – which has been restored with the original materials, give a good account of the way of life that its former inhabitants led.
