The Domaine de Chantilly surprise your visitors with the reopening of the private apartments of the Dukes of Aumale , the only ones of the Juillet monarchy preserved in their entirety in France .
After almost two years of meticulous restoration, both in decoration and furniture, eight rooms have been opened to the public corresponding to some of the most steeped in history of the château.
These apartments are in the oldest part of the castle, at the Renaissance-style Petit Château built in the second half of the 16th century by the architect Jean Bullant for the county of Constable Anne de Montmorency.
A walk through its gardens will not leave you indifferent
Already in the eighteenth century the splendid salons had been accommodated by the Dukes of Bourbon . Subsequently conditioned and decorated between 1844 and 1846 by the architect Victor Dubois and the romantic painter and decorator Eugène Lami , shortly after the wedding of the dukes, as a "love nest".
For just two months, the curious and history lovers have been reliving the splendor of said monarchy through a guided tour.
