Since January, the city of Budapest has a new reason why we want to come back: his new House of Music , a museum that is more of a visual and artistic experience because it combines landscape, architecture and design, exhibitions and events, all dedicated to the creation of music and sound.

The House of Music has been designed with an architecture that is integrated into the landscape , surrounded by trees, through uninterrupted glass volumes and a perforated roof structure, creating an inimitable visual experience for visitors , as if they were still walking through the nature of the park.
LIKE A WAVE
To achieve balance with nature and bring the musical experience to life, 94 custom-made panels were used, some of which reach 12 meters in height. All this is complemented by the thousands of stylized leaves suspended from the ceiling with their particular golden shine , which is continually related to changing light conditions.
“Another iconic feature is its floating, organic canopy, the structure of which was inspired by the visual imagery of sound: wave ”, they point out in a statement. The House of Hungarian Music has more than 9,000m2 that will be dedicated to exhibition halls, concert halls and an open-air stage that takes visitors on a true journey through the history of music.
“The underground level provides the spaces for exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, and also houses an incredible sound dome. The park level is assigned to the performing arts, with live musical events, an outdoor stage and a spectacular terrace near the park's lake.
And, finally, the spaces on the upper level of the building house a digital archive of documents linked to the history of hungarian popular music , as well as a multimedia library, music education rooms and a club, ideal for contemplating the vibrant nature of the park.

AN ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPECTFUL BUILDING
Not only the design tells us about the relationship of the House of Music with nature, but also its construction. The building has an energy supply from renewable sources , for which 120 heat pumps were installed 100 meters below ground to provide geothermal energy, in addition to having the innovative remote cooling system, which exploits the energy capacity of the nearest ice rink.
