Education and entertainment do not have to be at odds. Approaching history in a playful way is a reality that Puy du Fou he has accustomed us: first he did it in his park in the Loire Valley (Best Theme Park in the World in 2012 and 2014) and then brought to Toledo last year an immersive show that is a preview of what awaits us when its facilities are complete and fully operational (Puy du Fou España is scheduled to open next year).

Thus, the Dream of Toledo, which returns to July 18 full of news, is a historical dream come true: a 70-minute night show in which two hundred actors, horsemen and acrobats give life to more than 2,000 characters on a grandiose stage of five hectares, twice the surface of the Mosque of Córdoba (using a soccer field as a unit of measurement does not make sense in this news).

This year 15 Spanish breed horses are incorporated into the show.

The rest is History… of Spain specifically, from the Godos kings, to the Taifa king Al-Mamúm, Alfonso X El Sabio, Queen Isabella the Catholic or Emperor Carlos V. But also the props (almost 4,000 square meters of scenery), the costumes (1,700 period costumes) and special effects: it has 800 projectors, 28 Full HD800 video projectors and 60 water fountains.

Endorsed by a team of historians, the entertaining and didactic story –narrated by a young laundress and an old azacán (water carrier) on the banks of the Tagus River– relive the great episodes of our history in a dynamic way, as if it were a three-dimensional film that summarizes 1,500 years of history in the most artistic way possible.

The costume team has incorporated 500 new period costumes.

Many are the great special effects with which El Sueño de Toledo landed last year in the 'city of three cultures' and with which it surprised the 70,000 spectators who passed through it (among them, an enveloping soundtrack and drones that flew over their heads), but also in this second season there will be many new features: the crystal palace of King Al-Mamun that will emerge from the waters of the Tagus, updated choreographies, 15 Spanish-bred horses added to the 35 that the company already had, and 500 new period costumes.
